The following steps are for users who use the OneNote desktop application for macOS. Type in a new notebook name into the Name textbox if desired, select a color for the new notebook, and choose a path to save the new notebook into. Select the OneNote Package (.onepkg) file you wish to import and click Open.Click Browse and navigate to the folder where you wish to import the OneNote Package (.onepkg) file.
The following steps are for users who use the OneNote 2016 desktop application for Windows and need to import a notebook file. Locate a folder to save the notebook into and click the Save button. Select Current Notebook under Page Range to export the entire notebook.

Select the notebook you want to move or copy the page into.Right-click on the page you wish to move or copy and click Move Page To or Copy Page To.Select the notebook you want to move or copy the section into.Right-click on the section you wish to move or copy and click Move Section To or Copy Section To.To move or copy sections from the OneNote desktop application:.Navigate to the notebook you wish to move/copy to at in an incognito/private session of your browser or in different browser and click Open in Desktop App.Navigate to the notebook you wish to move/copy from at and click Open in Desktop App.
